there is a hair oil I've used since Iwas in 8th grade (I'm 30 now) called African Pride Miracle Grow. It has herbs and other natural ingredients in it. Even though it is pertroleum based, it's always helped my har grow. You can find it at Walgreens, CVS, or Wal-Mart, and it isn't really expensive.

Dr. miracle is a great product and so is dogro. sometimes you can use pantine but it depends. look in hair stores and look for a haed sign on the end of the bottle and you will know.
i SWEAR by DOO GRO hair products. i use the lotion and grease. its great for hair that gets pressed. it keeps it think and prevents breakage. your hair will really grow i promise. use the lotion and grease everyday. they even have shampoo and conditioner but ive never found any. you can get it online though!
