What kinds of foods should I eat (or even not eat) to help promote hair growth?

I went to the Dr. already %26amp; he couldn't find anything wrong. They did blood tests. What kinds of foods should I eat (or even not eat) to help promote hair growth?
hello jaiden, to get your locks producing, first eliminate stress. yep, stress affects your hair. next and most importantly, massage your scalp regularly with your fingertips (no nails), actually move your scalp over your skull, the scalp should move slightly over the skull, doing this will get blood supply to your hair follicle, the little hair makers.

as for vitamins/foods...

Vitamin A - promotes healthy scalp. Food sources: dark green, orange %26amp; yellow fruits %26amp; vegetables.

Vitamin B complex - Regulates the secretion of oil, keeps hair healthy %26amp; moisturized. Food sources: cereals, tomatoes, kidney, Brewer's yeast, eggs %26amp; green vegetables. Food sources: cauliflower, yogurt, wholemeal bread, bran %26amp; bananas.

Minerals such as zinc, iron %26amp; copper promote healthy hair. Which Food sources contain these minerals:

zinc - pumpkin seeds %26amp; green vegetables

iron - parsely, eggs, wheatgerm %26amp; sunflower seeds

copper - egg yolk %26amp; whole grains.

Because hair is made up of 97% protein (keratin), consuming enough of it gives hair a natural shine.

Food sources: grains %26amp; soys.

I hope this helped! wishing you happy locks! :)What kinds of foods should I eat (or even not eat) to help promote hair growth?
Eat high quality protein -eggs specifically. My pre-teen kid's nurse at their school said that my girls had the shiniest hair in the whole school- and that's what I did- gave them a good breakfast that included eggs, because I knew of that benefit as well. I have Fibromyalgia, so sometimes my hair would not grow- much less my fingernails- I think it has something to do with the gastrointestinal factor and stress hormones that is associated with this disorder, or maybe because I couldn't sleep well-(you grow when you are asleep) so I rest as Ishould and take Calcium Citrate, along with Vitamin D and magnesium with-(with Vitamin C for assimilation), and vitamins and minerals supplement everyday- along with eggs three times a week. Eating right in general will help a lot- as in veggies and fruits. Protein between meals even helps with ladies' monthly!
fish...it has some type of oil to help your hair omega 3 i think
take biotin, it's a vitamin that promotes skin, hair, and nail growth
Drink Milk and eat vegetables
Use Garnier Fructis hair care products. They work really well. They make your hair so much stronger, shinier, and more manageable. You can get their products anywhere like Wal-Mart and Target. Their website is www.garnierfructisusa.com. For food, eat anything will lots of protein. Hope your hair gets the way you want it to be.
