Does conditioner promote hair growth or it only makes hairs soft?

As a general rule, conditioners do not promote hair growth, and refer only to the hair itself. In fact, depending on the type of conditioner used, if it isn't rinsed well or has a lot of waxes in it, it can coat the scalp making it more difficult of an environment for hair to grow. You can look into Nioxin, a salon brand that is suited for hair loss, and they make a complete line of shampoos, conditioners and styling aids. Depends on what kind you get...

There are many many many different types of conditioners out there. Yes, it will make hair shiny, and soft, but considering that it doesn't go directly to your scalp it probably wouldn't directly affect hair growth. It may help hair growth at the ends though keeping them healthy.Does conditioner promote hair growth or it only makes hairs soft?
Just covers them with oil. Hair is dead protien and the conditioner just slicks it up.
