my hair is basically like my pic except i got my bangs cut shorter and they just cover my eyes and i'd like them to grow longer again. I heard drinking plenty of water, massaging your scalp in the shower, eating protein %26amp; vitamin E, and standing on your head for 30 seconds which brings blood to your hair folicles. do they actually work or are they just bs?Are these methods proven to help promote hair growth?
The first three work, the last is unnecessary. Massaging your scalp will have the same blood flow effect. Are these methods proven to help promote hair growth?
Drinking water - true
massaging scalp - true, but doesn't have to be in the shower, your hair can be dry. This not only stimulates blood flow to the follicles but increases oil secretion (which protects the hair from drying out and getting brittle, it just might mean you need to wash it more frequently)
Eating protein and Vitamin E.
There is plenty of scientific evidence that it is unhealthy for you to take a vitamin E supplement. Your best bet for hair health is to eat a balanced diet. I take a multivitamin with zinc and biotin. Check with the pharmaceutical regulatory body in your area about recommended daily intakes and find a vitamin that is close to that. You *CAN* have too much of a good thing.
Standing on your head...
well you can if you want but massage will bring more effective blood flow. I see no evidence that this would help.
Hope this helps :)
I know everything except that last one works.
